Night of Stars (Creator of the Stars of Night) - 3-5 octave handbells (Grade 2)
As night begins to show itself, one by one the stars slowly twinkle. In this arrangement, the stars are represented by the random ringing of handbells while the original hymn tune CONDITOR ALME SIDREUM is rung underneath. A low open-fifth drone creates an ethereal atmosphere, perfect for setting the tone for any church service, especially during Advent. The piece concludes very much as it begins, with the night stars fading away into the half-light of dawn.
